Medusa, Epic Injustice

This history tells that she was a beautiful woman who was raped by Poseidon in the temple of the Goddess Athena where she was a priestess. Athena, furious at the sacrilege committed in her temple, punished Medusa (her, not Poseidon) and turned her into a monster capable of turning anyone who looks into her eyes into stone. The poor thing ended up being decapitated by Perseus and her head was embedded in the breastplate of the goddess Athena. In my opinion, epic injustice.
